Sacred Collage: Experiencing God through Creative Expression. Saturday 9/13/25, 9:30AM to 4:00PM, $100. Hosted by the Sophia Center, Mt. St. Scholastica Benedictine monastery, Atchison KS.

Art can be a form of prayer, a process to center ourselves and open to experience God. This experiential retreat includes prayer, lunch and art supplies. We’ll create collage using mixed media—images, words, decorative paper, stamped prints and embellishments. Reflection includes “How did I experience the creative process?” and “What does my art speak to me of the sacred?” Our focus is the process and not the product, so one need not be an accomplished artist but simply willing to engage the materials. Our theme will be sabbath and rest. Overnight option with private room and meals on Fri 9/12 for $65 extra.
